Vaca (random lesson from today)
Today I got off the phone with a relative, excited because it looked like I’d be able to go on a vacation with family for the first time in years.
So I went to the store to get swim trunks etc( obviously excited ha) and picked some different warm weather attire out for the vacation. But when I asked Holy Spirit if I should get these items, I had no peace about any of them except this shirt that I could wear a lot outside of the vacation. So I listened to that feeling. It says His peace will guard my heart, and I went ahead and trusted this feeling over a simple matter. No peace, no purchase.
Well, I leave the store and get a call from the relative. Literally as I’m leaving. She says that something came up and that there will in fact, be no vacation. I was bummed, but it’s ok. I learned a simple lesson as I went through my day about the Holy Spirits leading. I had no peace about buying the vacation attire because He knew I wouldn’t need it. Amazing. I’m learning to do everything with Him. Even simple things like purchasing clothes, buying coffee, or sitting in class can become an intimate encounter with Him when done with Him.

I’d like to go to all the places my friends are at. I would also really enjoy seeing my family, and backpacking through Alaska. I also want to see the Grand Canyon, but I’m saving that.
